Personalized Yoga Therapy & Coaching

Yoga therapy offers tools to help you create the conditions in our body so that deep inner healing can happen. If you are someone who likes to grow throughout your life and be intentional about what you can do to feel healthy, happy, and whole, yoga therapy can be a gratifying way to increase life satisfaction. Our work starts with being curious and aware of thoughts, feelings, sensations, actions, conditioning, environment, etc. and how they influence one another. The next step is to explore strategies that are realistic and move us toward balance. This can involve ways to calm and sooth and ways to engage in life more fully.

Yoga Heals Us offers a variety of tools for whole person wellness and personal transformation. Some of these tools include: ​

  • Movement

    • Creating space in the spine and other joints to move freely

    • Muscle strengthening and stretching

    • Yoga postures that tap into your stability and flexibility

    • Chair Yoga and modifications using props for support

    • Restorative Yoga

  • Breathing techniques for physical and emotional balance

  • Relaxation techniques

  • Building upon your personal practice to connect to the deep inner resources already within you.

  • Meditation techniques including hand gestures (Mudras) and Yoga Nidra  

  • Education drawn from the time-tested wisdom of Yoga and Ayurveda— holistic philosophies of health and healing.

 

Yoga therapy sessions are 60 minutes. During our time together, we co-create a plan and practice tailored to you. A typical session begins with a check-in to learn about your specific needs for that session. We’ll discuss tools and practices that build upon what you've tried and prefer and co-create a plan to fit your specific goals.
