All Levels Yoga Basics

This is an all levels mat class that offers a range of postures, breathing techniques, and mudras. Class content and focus varies from week to week.

Gentle Adaptive Yoga
Tuesdays
5 - 6:15 p.m. EST
St. James Church, Preston

This is a gentle mat class that uses (optional) chairs for standing poses. The focus of this class is stretching, balance and relaxation.

Chair Yoga
Thursdays
9:30 - 10:30 a.m. EST

This Chair Yoga class offers seated and standing poses using a chair. Students have the option to practice only the seated poses or both seated and standing. The standing poses focus on balance and strength. Mudra meditation is offered in place of relaxation at the end of class.

Deep Rest Yoga Nidra and Mudra Meditation
Thursdays: November 10, December 8
7:00 - 8:15 EST

Yoga Nidra is the state of conscious deep sleep. In Yoga Nidra, you’re awake and the body is in a very relaxed state. Yoga Nidra brings calmness, quietness and clarity. It’s one of the deepest of all meditations, leading awareness through many levels of mental process to a state of deep stillness and insight. Mudras are hand gestures that can evoke particular states of mind such as calming or energizing.

Restorative Yoga

For this program, bring your yoga mat (or your couch or your bed!), 2 square pillows and 1 or 2 rectangles (firm if possible) or a bolster, blankets is desired.

  • No experience necessary. Sliding scale tuition. Pay what you can. Pets optional!
